Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SmaI--19.0, 13.0, 6.4, 4.6; BglII--27.0, 8.0, 7.5; EcoRI--23.0, 10.0, 3.4, 2.8, 2.5; BamHI--22.0, 20.0; HindIII--22.0, 11.5 (doublet); PvuI--20.0, 15.0, 8.5; SacI--20.0, 9.4, 8.5, 4.4. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): KpnI--1.65, 5.4, 5.8, 12.1; EcoRI--3.05, 6.0, 8.3, 11.0; HindIII--3.15, 3.6, 7.8, 12.5; BamHI--14.6. The 3' end of this insert is the naturally occurring BamHI site in C1 exon 1. Contains germline V5, germline V4, the 5' end of C1 exon 1, and an unusual rearrangement abutting the V3 recombination signal to J1 in an inverted orientation. lambdaSP14 (ATCC 65836, 65837) and lambdaSP19 (ATCC 65838, 65839) are end clones from the same inversion (47 kb) event. |
